Crazy's Keith Corner: He's Been Away So Long...

...that I almost forgot about Keith. I mean, Ron Darling, Ralph Kiner and Gary Cohen were a scream on Saturday, but I miss Keith. Alas, I'm going to miss much of tonight's game dropping off copies of the new issue of Zisk.
Yes, that's right, the two months late print edition of Zisk is done. Here's what the cover looks like:

Copies are going out in the mail over the next week, so subscribers should see it before interleague play is over. Whew. We're still shooting for the next issue to come out in time for the playoffs, so writers get those ideas cracking!

I'm not in such a good mood after Tuesday night's game, but it was still good to have Keith back. Darling gets better all the time-- but he is basically a sane person. His humor tends to be of the dry, deadpan variety, sometimes with a sharp point. And he never loses his place in the game, as Gary immediately reminded Keith before play began.

And it was as if Keith's mere presence filled the booth with nitrous oxide. I could detect giggles in the booth in the first inning, and it turned out they were laughing at a noise repeatedly emitted by the plate umpire as he squatted behind the plate. Keith, always the culture vulture, invoked the Three Stooges. They kindly called for quiet so the noises would be audible to the folks at home. Thanks guys, that's what I love about you. I always feel so close to the game. ;)
